A Whole Lot of Nothing...

So, if you read our blog with any regularity, you've probably been wondering what I've been up to that has kept me from updating. The truth is, a whole lot of nothing. There have been many little things going on that keep us busy. However, when I reflect back on what we are up to, it feels like there isn't anything going on. Ever feel like that?

I have been feeling very tired from work recently. I have been doing supervision of basketball games lately. Now that the 5th & 6th grade students are playing, I am after school at least one night a week. This coming week, I have a board meeting and game on Tuesday, negotiations on Wednesday, and another game on Thursday. Brian has also been busy working on a big case with the EPA and some other super secret important stuff that he can't tell me unless he kills me. :)

I stayed home today because Lauren is running a high fever, has snot running out of her nose, and can't breathe. She is miserable. Hayden is currently feeling the need to ignore every adult direction that doesn't comply with what HE wants to do. He had a rough night last night because he was not allowed to do anything but clean, eat, and go to bed. He is somewhat better today, but still had 3 time-outs at school. Ugh!

I am going to attach a bunch of pictures and videos from the past week or so....

Hayden really enjoys playing games lately. Clue Jr. is one of his favorites. Here he is sharing his solution to the mystery of who at the piece of cake, what time she/he ate it, and what he/she drank.

Hayden enjoys watching American Idol with us and during the commercial breaks, he acts like he is a contestant and we are the judges. This is about the third song he did and he wanted us to say 'No' to him. Here is his audition...

Hayden ventured out into the snow this week (this was before the extra 12" or so that we got...now we can't even open the back door). Lauren had a ball watching him.

Lauren has started eating a lot more solids these days. She really loves bread and seems to be a fan of broccoli. She doesn't care for solid carrots, but likes them in the jar. Go figure.

Brian has been getting a little more daring with his taste in food. He asked me to get some chorizo from the store the other night. He made it with potatoes and cheese. We ate these in tortillas. It turned out pretty good.

Here is a glimpse of the snow on our back porch. If Hayden would have stood out there, it would have been about to his waist.

OOH! Great layout! You can get rid of that "cutest blog on the block" thing in the upper left if you go back into your HTML, find in the code where it starts for the notation, and delete everything between the < and the > that deals with it. If you screw it up, you can just re-copy and paste the code...
