It was bound to happen...

Hayden has spent a good part of his evening working on extra school work tonight. He is focusing his energy so he doesn't get in any more trouble today. Yep...trouble. That is what happened today when he ended up in my office (a.k.a. The Principal's Office.) He was brought down because during the story time, he unplugged the SmartBoard from the wall. This is the second time it has happened in the room and it took the tech. guys a while to get it running again the first time. The teachers were less than thrilled that it happened again. I had a discussion with him and issued a firm warning. I did my best to do the same thing I would with him that I would with any other student. I think he was relieved to leave and not get a spanking. I have told him previoulsy that he is the only student at school that I have permission to spank. Anyway, when Brian got home, we had a discussion at dinner about his consequence (no playing outside tomorrow) and why his behavior was wrong. Then he got down to business on the extra school work I had for him. Let's keep our fingers crossed for a good day tomorrow.

Lauren thought she would supervise the work going on at the table.
Now she has gotten in on the act. She actually sat and colored for the first time. She usually tries to eat the crayons and doesn't care about coloring.
Here is the result of Lauren's first coloring attempt. Gotta love budding artists!

well, at least he wasn't sent down for something much worse!

I am so glad I don't have to deal with that. I have a hard enough time figuring out how to deal with disciplining my kids at home...let alone worrying about at school too! Hope once was enough!!!!
