Simple Pleasures

I don't know if anyone really reads my blog or not....well, I mean I know a handful of my friends and family do and I read their blogs too!

Anyway, one of the blogs I read and keep up with is Kelly's Korner. If you read anyone's blog, then most likely you've at least seen the icon link to Kelly's blog. She's good southern folk, from Arkansas, with a precious baby girl and a heartwarming story. Her blog is followed by thousands! And she does this fun thing by linking blogs through a certain topic. I think she does this weekly. I click on and read a few, but I never participate.....I'm not that good of a blogger. :) I digress..... Yesterday she chose the topic "Simple Pleasures". Well, today I'm participating on my own (without linking to her site). I like this topic. When I think of simple pleasures, I think of the things that make me smile, warm my heart, or relax. So, all that to say, "Here's my list of simple pleasures"

Watching Hayden give Lauren hugs and kisses when he doesn't know anyone is watching

McDonald's french fries and a vanilla shake

Soft, tight, non-nubby sheets at bedtime

Guacamole & tortilla chips

Tucking the kids in at night and seeing the interesting positions they have gotten in to

Lauren wearing pig tails

Sleeping in until 8:00 on the weekend

Crusing anywhere with Brian

Watching Lauren walk around in her princess heals with a baby in her stroller and a purse or diaper bag on her shoulder

Seeing new pictures on Facebook from my greatest friends who live farther away

Fleece comfy pants and a sweatshirt

My own pillow

The original "Pink Stuff"

My pink Coach purse

Starbucks Peppermint Mocha (Oh how I wish they had them all year!)

Driving my car at dusk in the summer with the windows down and a loud song on (sans children)

Fossil watches

Hayden & Brian cuddling while watching something horribly boring on the History channel

I could go on and on and on...

What a sweet idea! I need to do that too. I also love Kelly's Korner! I was reading it a lot back when the baby was first born...so scary! I can't believe she's so big now!
