I thought that since I haven't posted this week, I should at least tell you something about our lives. I started working this week. I just did half days each day so that the kids could get used to being at the sitter's and so I'm not overwhelmed right away. Lauren struggled with taking a bottle at first, but seems to have gotten the hang of it like an old pro again. Hayden enjoyed being at Shelley's (our sitter & friend pictured at the left) this week. He's been bored at home without a playmate. He loves playing with Shelley's daughter Juliana...although they play outside together most nights of the week anyway. I think that when school starts in and she goes to school all day, Hayden is going to be very bored.
Work went well for me this week. I don't think I even dented everything that needed to be done. It is a big job, but an exciting one.
We went to a party last night to see off our friend, Nathan Eaton, to the FBI academy. He is a state trooper, but was recently hired by the FBI. He leaves next weekend for the academy. His wife, Wendy, will stay behind to sell the house and her business once they find out where they'll be going.
Today, we are going to the Porter County Fair. Hayden is the most excited to see the lawn tractors that are for sale in the vendor's tent. Wish I had more exciting things to share. However, sometimes the best times are when things are quiet and going as expected. Hope you have a great weekend!
