Well, another hunting season has come to an end and there is one less deer for cars to hit. As usual, I went to my buddy John's house early opening day for breakfast before we went to the woods to look for the elusive deer. Shortly after sunrise, I saw a deer about 100 yards out. As I am watching that one, three does walk about twenty yards behind my tree stand. I did not even hear them until they ran past me. About a minute after they came through, I heard a noise behind me and saw a buck chasing the does. It wasn't a huge one, but good enough for me. I always tell myself that I am going to wait for the "big one." But, as usual, as soon as I see antlers, I get all "antsy pantsy" and the next thing I know the gun is going off. Oh well, it is still a nice buck. Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving.

mmm...venison summer sausage sounds good to me...must be some pregnancy craving! Great job!
I'd rather see poor Bambi all bloody and strapped to some contraption here than on the hood of my car... with my car strapped to a tow truck...
Keep up the good work!
