Our week...

Happy Friday everyone! I haven't been on to leave a post in a few days so I thought I'd pop in. It has been a pretty busy week for us. It is spring break and Brian has the week off. We tried to pack several things into the week. We took care of odds and ends in Michigan City on Monday. I got to visit with my friends Jess and Mindy on Tuesday. They are my friends from home that I have known forever. Jess has a little girl, Maria, who is 11 months old and Mindy is pregnant with her first baby. She just found out that it is a little boy! We always enjoy spending time together and talking non-stop! Hayden also got his hair cut Tuesday...it was badly needed!

On Wednesday, we went to the Science and Industry Museum in Chicago with Les & Nicole. It was my idea and I obviously wasn't thinking about spring break when I came up with this brilliant idea! It was CRAZY! We waited in line to buy tickets to get in for about 45 minutes. You would have thought we were at Disney World. Needless to say, Hayden enjoyed it and loved the model train display. He could have stayed there all day. We would like to go back on a day that is much less crowded to actually enjoy the neat things that were there. Just maneuvering around the museum got very trying and took away much of the enjoyment for us adults!

I spent the day Thursday with Nicole and Shelley (our friends & neighbors) helping Nicole register for the baby girl they are expecting. We went to Babies R Us and Target. We enjoyed lunch together at Olive Garden too. It was a great girls day out! Hopefully Nicole will get a lot of nice stuff for baby Leah!

Today (Friday), Hayden is spending the day with his Grammy. They left around 10:00 and were headed for breakfast. They were going to do some errands for Erika in Michigan City and then go see Horton Hears a Who. I also heard talk of getting a toy. I'm sure Hayden will have a fun day. Brian and I are going to dinner (with Lauren in tow) with Les & Nicole and Chris & Shelley. We are so blessed to have such close friends as our neighbors. We're going to the restaurant at Bass Pro Shop...Islamorada Fish Company. If you've never been there, it is fantastic! Brian and I really like it. The crabcakes are fab! You'll never guess what I'm getting :)

I hope that you all have a wonderful weekend and that the sun comes out to grace us with some warmth!
